A body that was found on the road in Pompano Beach on Sunday caused closures in the area for hours, deputies said.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, at around 2 a.m., deputies received reports of a body that was in the roadway at the 1600 block of North Dixie Highway.
Once at the scene, deputies found a man who had been shot, and he was pronounced dead.
His identity was not released.
As deputies investigated the incident, the roadway was closed for about four hours and has since reopened.
