Orlando police on scene of shooting outside home

HOW TO PLAN. WHEN WE SEE IT COMING UP IN JUST A COUPLE OF MINUTES. ALL RIGHT. WE’LL SEE YOU THEN. ERIC. BREAKING RIGHT NOW. ORLANDO POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A POSSIBLE DEADLY SHOOTING THIS MORNING. WESH TWO S BOB HAZEN IS LIVE FOR US ON BETHUNE DRIVE IN THE WASHINGTON SHORES NEIGHBORHOOD. BOB. WE KNOW THIS HAPPENED IN FRONT OF A HOUSE. THERE. AND I TALKED TO A MAN IN THE LAST HALF HOUR OR SO WHO SAYS THAT HE HAS SEEN A LOT OF TROUBLE AT THAT HOUSE IN THE PAST FIGHTING. AND OFFICERS CALLED OUT HERE BEFORE, AND I CAN TELL YOU RIGHT NOW, BETHUNE DRIVE IS SHUT DOWN AND YOU CAN SEE THERE’S A ORLANDO POLICE VEHICLE RIGHT THERE. THE INCIDENT HAPPENED AT THE HOUSE BEHIND THAT. AND THEY’RE THEY’RE INVESTIGATING THAT RIGHT NOW. THEY HAVE IT ROPED OFF WITH TAPE AS THEY LOOK FOR MORE EVIDENCE HERE THIS MORNING. WE HAVE SEEN SEVERAL DETECTIVES WORKING THE SCENE. INVESTIGATORS HAVE ALSO BEEN USING A METAL DETECTOR TO SEARCH THROUGH THE YARD IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE. THIS HAPPENED JUST BEFORE 11:00 LAST NIGHT. OPD COMING TO THIS HOUSE ON BETHUNE DRIVE FOR A REPORTED SHOOTING. OPD HASN’T CONFIRMED MUCH ELSE, BUT DISPATCHERS TOLD US THAT ONE PERSON WAS KILLED. THIS IS VERY CLOSE TO COLUMBIA STREET NEAR THE BIG BUS STOP HERE. WHEN WE FIRST GOT TO THE SCENE, THERE WERE AT LEAST SIX EVIDENCE MARKERS DOWN ON THE FRONT YARD OF THIS HOUSE, POSSIBLY MARKING WHERE BULLET SHELLS HAD BEEN FOUND. DETECTIVES WERE TALKING WITH SEVERAL POSSIBLE WITNESSES NEARBY AS WELL, AND ONE WOMAN TOLD ME THERE WAS A SHOOTING THERE. SHE TRIED TO BE A GOOD SAMARITAN TO HELP THE VICTIMS, BUT WOULDN’T SAY ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. WE ARE WORKING TO GET MORE INFORMATION FROM ORLANDO POLICE, INCLUDING WHETHER OR NOT THERE IS A SUSPECT WHO IS STILL ON THE LOOSE IN THE PUBLIC HERE, OR WHETHER THEY HAVE ANYONE IN CUSTODY. Police in Orlando are on scene of a possible fatal shooting on Monday morning.

It happened overnight in front of a home on Bethune Drive.

A witness told WESH 2 he had seen a lot of trouble at the home in the past.

At least six evidence markers could be seen outside.
