The 11th annual event and 1,500-mile trek will make stops in Lakeland, Orlando, Satellite Beach, The Villages and Ocala.

The 11th annual Walk in My Shoes event will return to Central Florida April 11-16, 2026. The 1,500-mile trek across the state of Florida is led by former state Sen. Lauren Book, who is the founder and CEO of Lauren’s Kids. The South Florida-based nonprofit is dedicated to preventing child sexual abuse through education, awareness campaigns, and survivor support initiatives, according to its website.
