TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A traffic crash in northwest Tallahassee early Sunday morning led to officers discovering the driver had been shot, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.
The incident unfolded just before 1 a.m. after officers responded to a traffic crash at the intersection of West Tennessee Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, TPD wrote in a press release Monday.
Authorities arrived on scene, where police said they located a single vehicle in the middle of Tennessee Street.
It was then discovered that the 31-year-old driver was suffering from a gunshot wound to the ankle area, according to the police statement.

Moments later, the victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
As of Monday, there are no suspects and no arrests have been made.
