The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Flood Watch for Key Biscayne and both coastal and metropolitan Miami-Dade County until 10 p.m. Tuesday, with nearly one inch of rain expected over the next 24 hours.

Key Biscayne residents can expect thunderstorms this morning, with scattered storms continuing into the afternoon and periods of heavy to torrential downpours. Today’s high will be around 78 degrees, with SSW winds at 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight, evening thunderstorms, followed by partly cloudy skies after midnight and a low of 71 degrees.

Wednesday, morning rain showers with thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. The high will be near 77 degrees, with NE winds at 10 to 20 mph. Rain chances are around 80%, with locally heavy rainfall possible.
