A windy and wet day is expected across Central Florida with a front stalled to our south. This setup will yield to gusty northeast winds, warranting a High Surf Advisory, plus a Small Craft Advisory becoming a Gale Warning for the boaters. 

While there may be some breaks in the activity from time to time, plan on periods of needed rain off and on through Thursday. The system should exit late in the week with a drier, brighter weekend set to follow.

Drivers, buckle up. Gas prices are expected to rise by double digits again this week as uncertainty over the Iran war continues, an industry analyst said.

“Gasoline prices are poised for another jolt this week, with many inland states — including the Plains, Great Lakes, and parts of the Rockies — likely to see sharp increases as last week’s surge in wholesale costs has yet to be fully passed through to consumers,” Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, said in a statement Monday.
