A new music series is coming to Tallahassee this spring and summer.
Levitt AMP Tallahassee: Music Under The Oaks will be held every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from April to July 2026, the Council of Culture & Arts announced in a March press release. The free concerts will be held under the shade of the oak trees at Lewis Park, on East Park Ave.
Brought to you by COCA and the Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority, this series is supported in part by the Levitt Family Foundation, a social impact funder at the intersection of music, public space, and community building. Supporting nonprofits nationwide, the Levitt AMP program invigorates underused public spaces with free, outdoor concerts across the country.
Levitt AMP Tallahassee: Music Under The Oaks will present eight free, family-friendly concerts and will feature a diverse lineup of high-caliber talent spanning genres from folk, country, jazz & funk to surf rock & R&B.
“A dynamic variety of musicians are place keeping Lewis Park this summer, by gathering music lovers of all ages on the lawn and sharing hundreds of songs to listen to, dance to, and sing along with,” says Kathleen Spehar, Executive Director of COCA. “With eight concerts a year presented over the next three years, Music Under the Oaks will amplify the impact the arts have on our region. We’ll celebrate music, welcome visitors, drive economic development, and build community- all under the oaks.”

This series moves us closer to our vision of a vibrant, 18-hour downtown where culture, commerce, and community thrive together.”
The 2026 series kicks off with Angela Autumn
Kicking off the 2026 series from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, will be Appalachian-born folk and country singer-songwriter Angela Autumn. Banjo in hand, Angela Autumn blends traditional folk, Americana, and dark country influences into a sound that’s earned her the nickname “Rose of Appalachia.”
The Music Under The Oaks series will kick from 7-9 p.m. April 9, 2026, with Appalachian-born folk and country singer-songwriter, Angela Autumn.
Currently based in Nashville, Autumn has released several albums, including 2023’s “Cowboy Jack Clementine,” and tours widely across the U.S., performing at clubs and festivals from Austin and Boise to Los Angeles, San Francisco, and beyond.
Her music videos have gained millions of views as fans keep returning for her songbird voice, heartfelt melodies, and haunting lyricism that draws on personal experiences and stories from her childhood.
Coming up in the series
Also scheduled to perform are BlackCat Zydecco on April 23, a high-energy zydeco band deeply rooted in Louisiana’s Cajun and Creole musical traditions, and singer-songwriter/former American Idol semi-finalist Paul McDonald, performing as Paul McDonald and the Mourning Doves on May 14.
The Lee Boys, a dynamic funk and gospel ensemble from Miami, Florida, are set to perform on May 28, followed by raw indie-rock songwriter T. Hardy Morris on June 11.
June 25, the series will host the Boom Chick Ramblers, a Tallahassee-based band known for their upbeat, dance-ready tunes that blend early jazz, blues, and Americana.
The series will close out in July, with Tallahassee’s own vibrant traveling funk ensemble Pharaohs of Funk on July 9, and The Intoxicators!, a local energetic surf rock band teeming with classic rockabilly vintage rock influences, who will take the stage on July 23.
The public is invited to bring their own snacks, beverages, blankets, and lawn chairs to the concerts, which will have an open lawn setting. On-site food and drink will also be available for purchase from some of Tallahassee’s favorite local food trucks.
Street Parking in the downtown area is free after 6 p.m.. Parking is also available in the Kleman Plaza Garage at 306 S Duval, and the Calhoun Eastside Parking Garage at 215 S. Calhoun Street. Admission to the event is free.
