JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A Jacksonville man has pleaded guilty to child sex crimes committed over 11 years.
Ryan Kirby-Walton admitted to indecent liberties with a child, statutory sex offense with a child under 15, and sexual activity by a substitute parent in court last week.
Back in October 2023, the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office was called to a report of sexual abuse of a boy.
The victim told deputies that Kirby-Walton had sexually abused him starting when he was 11 years old and continuing until he was 22.
Kirby-Walton was then arrested in 2024 on a $2 million bond.
The 52-year-old man was given between 14 years and 21 years, 10 months in prison, and must register as a sex offender for life.
