Louisville Kings still looking for first win as they return home Friday
The 0 and 2 start, but you get to come back home. You have *** Friday night. Weather looks good. How excited are you for, especially after what you experienced in the last home game, you know the crowds are gonna be there. Yeah, anytime you lose, you want to get back on the field, so we’re itching to get back out there and, and, um, and get *** win, you know, for the organization, the team, the city, and everything else. So, uh, it’s *** little frustrating. We kind of look at it as, you know, first two games, kind of like, you know, we didn’t really have any preseason games. So we’re kind of just getting the kinks out and I’m excited to get back out there. The atmosphere last time was amazing. Uh, really, you know, easily could have won that game as well. So, uh, just excited to get these guys back on the field and, and, uh, looking forward to, uh, Friday night. You’re gonna go with both quarterbacks, or are you gonna pick one this week and roll with? Yeah, you, you know, they both earned this, uh, opportunity to play. They’ve been doing really good. Both of them. We have confidence in both of the quarterbacks. They’re both. There’s not like one’s doing bad, they’re both doing good, so we want to give them, um, opportunities to play. And so, uh, we’ll see where we go on that, but, um, you know, Bean’s gonna start us out and, and, um, you know, we might get Chandler in there, um, uh, throughout the game at some point too. Like I said, he’s been doing really well in practice. He had *** great game. We just gotta, you know, we gotta get that ball in the end zone. How do you get the running game going? Well, we got some, we got, um, *** new guy in the offensive line that’s, uh, uh, really, very experienced, and so we’re excited about, um, you know, changing things up *** little bit and, you know, we’re gonna hopefully get, uh, get our quarterbacks running the ball *** little bit more as well. It’s kind of what we were hoping coming into the season. So, uh, so all those things, hopefully with, um, *** little bit of more, better execution, when, when that happens, we’ll, uh, I’m, I’m sure the running game will, will pick up. We got great running backs and, and, um, you know, our guys just kind of missed *** couple of assignments, but, uh, but we’re gonna, we’re excited to bounce back this week. And finally, let me ask you about the differences. I mean, you’re playing *** team two weeks in *** row. I don’t know if you’ve ever done that in your career at any level. It’s kind of maybe in high school if you play like *** team at the end of the regular, I don’t know, but it’s, it’s *** different field, but also *** good thing because the scouts gotta be relatively easy. And, and to be honest, it was really those two big plays for them last week, right? I mean, those were the difference in the game. Yeah, our defense played exceptionally well last week. They got *** lot better from the first week. To the 2nd. Um, the offense needs to get *** little bit better, obviously, run the ball. But, um, but yeah, when you play *** team twice, you know, sometimes you have to do that in the playoffs from the end of the season, into the playoffs, so we have like the game plan already set, and we’ll, you know, obviously we’re gonna tweak it some, but, um, but for the most part, you know, we just got to go out and execute. We just kind of worry about ourselves right now. And if we can do that and, and, um, you know, keep from turning the ball over and, and, uh, make some plays like we did in the first game, I think we’re gonna be in good shape. Not *** lot. I always have one more question. Finally, for fans who didn’t go to the first game, who haven’t experienced the UFL, what do you say to them to get them in the stands on Friday night? You gotta come. I mean, I, I didn’t, you know, even, even in the loss, I had so many people said how much fun they had, the experience, you know, springtime football, it’s, it’s really good football. We got great players, um, you know, it’s big-time TV, you know, I think everyone that showed up in the first game, I think was really excited. Excited about, you know, how the experience was. So, I just say, hey, man, just come, come check us out and I think you’ll, I think you’ll be back cause it’s ***, it’s *** really cool atmosphere. I think the fans are really hungry, hungry for it. Uh, I know Louisville loves having *** pro football team in town, so it’s ***, it’s *** great experience.
