According to Seminole Police, a fight broke out Monday night in the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, and rapper Offset was shot.

The 24-year-old Merritt and another person were then detained, police said. The second person who was detained has not been charged.

According to an arrest report, Merritt “directed members of his party to start a fight with another small group of males” at the casino.

The report said surveillance video showed Merritt pointed at Offset then approached him along with his associates and started fighting with him.

At one point a male “associated” with Merritt “pulled a firearm and discharged it, wounding one of the individuals,” the report said.

“During the fight, the defendant had his phone out, recording members of his group attacking ‘Offset,'” the report said. “Sworn statements were taken from the victims who stated that they were caring for their wounded friend (Offset), when the defendant approached them in an aggressive manner with fists clenched and taking swings at them.”

The fight continued until police arrived and broke it up, the report said.

“Due to the actions of the defendant’s involvement in a fight in a public place, the defendant caused terror among the public that caused injury to another person and placed other patrons in imminent danger,” the report said.

A spokesperson for the Offset confirmed the rapper was shot in a statement to NBC News and said he was hospitalized and receiving medical care.

“He is stable and being closely monitored,” the spokesperson said.

In a statement, Merritt’s attorney said the rapper was not charged in the Offset shooting.

“We are issuing this release in regards to false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved in a shooting which occurred at the Valet Area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood which resulting in non-life-threatening injuries to Offset, formerly a member of Migos. Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting contrary is false,” the statement read. “We encourage people to consult trusted news sources and verify the accuracy of any reporting, before reflexively sharing or repeating baseless rumors.”

Lil Tjay bonded out of jail on Tuesday and briefly spoke with reporters before he got in the back of an SUV and left.

“I didn’t do no damn fighting,” he said.
