A man accused of starting a fire in front of a home in North Miami was arrested on Tuesday, records showed
Royer Pantabillu, 35, was charged with arson and possession of cocaine, Miami-Dade Jail records showed.
According to authorities, on Tuesday, deputies arrived at a home in North Miami after receiving reports that someone had lit a fire.
An arrest report said that deputies met with the victim, who told them that his Ring camera captured Pantabillu outside his home with several items, poured gasoline on them and set them on fire.
The victim then woke up his wife, and she went outside to extinguish the flames, the report said. After she went back into the home, the victim said, Pantabillu returned and started another fire closer to the home, and the victim’s wife had to re-extinguish it.
Deputies then met with Pantabillu, and he was taken into custody, the report said.
When deputies searched him, the report said, they found he had a white, powdery substance, which was confirmed to be crack cocaine after it was tested.
