Wayfair is bringing a large store to Florida for the first time, the company announced, and it’ll call none other than Fort Lauderdale home.
The home goods retailer said it would open the location, 94,000 square feet spread across two levels, at the Galleria Fort Lauderdale in late 2027.
Wayfair said this is its sixth store announcement and first in the Sunshine State. It already has locations in Wilmette, Illinois, and Atlanta, Georgia, with stores in Columbus, Ohio, and Denver, Colorado, set to open this year. Another in Westchester, New York is set for early 2027.
The Fort Lauderdale location “will offer customers Wayfair’s extensive assortment across key home categories, including furniture, décor, housewares, appliances and more,” the company said.

Will I be able to buy and take home items immediately?
Wayfair says many items will be available for immediate take-home, while larger pieces such as sofas, dining sets and outdoor furniture can be delivered fast and free.
Does Wayfair have other locations in South Florida?
Birch Lane, a Wayfair brand, has physical retail locations in Boca Raton, Sarasota, Tampa and Naples. Perigold, the luxury arm of the Wayfair brand, is open in West Palm Beach.
This, however, will be the first large-format Wayfair store in Florida.
What will be different about Wayfair’s location in Fort Lauderdale?

Why Galleria Fort Lauderdale?
Wayfair mentions Galleria Fort Lauderdale’s redevelopment plans as a primary reason for choosing it for its brick-and-mortar location, which will be situated at the end of the mall.

Wayfair said the mall is planning an updated mix of retail, dining and lifestyle offerings.
