During the weekend days of April 10-12, the City of Tampa will host multiple events, such as the Gasparilla Music Festival, attracting multitudes to the area, so make sure you plan accordingly and anticipate heavy traffic. City officials urge drivers to be extra cautious in and around the area, particularly in downtown.

City officials say using alternative transportation options can help make moving around easier. Options include using the free TECO Line Streetcar, the DASH service, HART buses, scooters and bikes.

They add that garages in downtown Tampa offer free covered bicycle parking and the Benchmark International Arena offers free bike valet for event attendees.
