Florida debuts new food-stamp eligibility requirements
An increasing number of Florida food stamp recipients will have to meet work requirements to remain eligible. Currently, SNAP benefits distributed by the state are fully funded by the federal government, but under the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” that could change.
Governor DeSantis signs another death warrant
Bryan Fredick Jennings was convicted of murder, kidnapping, and sexual battery and sentenced to death in 1986. Gov. Ron DeSantis signed his death warrant last Friday, and he is scheduled to die on November 13th at Florida State Prison. Jennings would be the 16th person set for execution in the state of Florida under Gov. DeSantis.
