TAMPA, Fla. – The USL Championship today announced that the Tampa Bay Rowdies’ Dominic Casciato has been voted the USL Championship Coach of the Month for March.
Casciato earned the award after leading the Rowdies to three consecutive wins to start the 2026 season in which Tampa Bay scored seven goals and conceded only once, taking home victories against defending USL Championship title-holders Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC and Loudoun United FC.
“Huge credit should go to our staff, who work so tirelessly behind the scenes, and the players for starting the season so well,” said Casciato. “No-one here is getting carried away, and our focus now is on having a great week of practice before hosting a strong Oakland side at the weekend.”
Casciato joined the Rowdies midway through the 2025 season having twice previously earned USL League One Coach of the Year honors at Union Omaha, winning the league title once and Players’ Shield twice during his tenure. This offseason saw the Rowdies make major roster moves, including the addition of a handful of former Buhos to Casciato’s squad, which the English manager has turned into a prospective contender in short order.
Across its three games in March, the Rowdies led the Championship with a 1.07 Expected Goals Against mark while also recording a 5.83 Expected Goals mark, illustrating the balance the side has achieved. Tampa Bay’s current four-game winning streak following its victory against Sporting Club Jacksonville this past Saturday is its longest to start a season since the club claimed the Players’ Shield in the 2021 campaign.
Casciato earned the award with 48% of the ballot. San Antonio FC Head Coach Carlos Llamosa finished second on 28% after leading his side to a four-game undefeated streak to start the season with three wins in four outings to lead the Western Conference.
The USL Championship’s Coach of the Month award is voted upon by the USL Championship National Media Panel and the USL Championship Technical Committee, with each group responsible for 50% of the overall vote.
