Contour Airlines & JetBlue enter into a new Interline Partnership.
Middle Georgia travelers are getting a direct ticket to the “Venice of America.” Starting June 9, 2026, Contour Airlines is officially launching brand-new, nonstop service between Middle Georgia Regional Airport (MCN) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).
This route was developed as a direct response to local demand for easier access to South Florida’s beaches, world-class dining, and major cruise ports. By flying out of Macon, travelers can bypass the traffic and parking headaches of larger regional hubs, enjoying a streamlined experience from terminal to tarmac. This will provide an alternative to Fort Lauderdale-Atlanta corridor which is among the ten busiest domestic flight routes as well as provide a connection from Macon to array of destinations both foreign and domestic via Fort Lauderdale.
Flight Schedule and Frequency
To provide flexibility for both weekend getaways and longer vacations, the service will operate four times a week on a Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday rotation.

Why This Matters for Macon
The introduction of the Fort Lauderdale route represents a significant expansion of leisure travel options for the community. Local leaders have emphasized that this connection is about more than just convenience—it’s about community investment.
“If you want to visit the sunny beaches of Florida or catch a cruise, you’ll soon be able to do it all from here in Macon.”
— Mayor Lester Miller
Key Benefits of the New Route:
Cruise Access: FLL is a primary hub for travelers heading to Port Everglades, one of the busiest cruise ports in the world.
Optimized Travel: The mid-morning departure allows travelers to arrive in Florida just in time for lunch or hotel check-in.
Local Investment: This expansion is part of a broader effort by Contour Airlines and Macon-Bibb County to maximize aircraft utilization and strengthen the regional aviation network.
Contour operates an interline agreement with JetBlue Airways who have recently ramped their Fort Lauderdale focus city operations up to 120 daily flights.
