WESH 2 Investigates has learned the suspect from the March 30th ambush attack on the man who stopped to help him on State Road 429 in Winter Garden jumped on another driver’s car earlier that day.
“As you have found out, I was not the first victim,” Hans Hamilton said.
According to an Orange County Sheriff’s Office incident report, about 30 minutes before 44-year-old Daniel Coman hopped on Hamilton’s Tesla and then beat him on the ground, a deputy responded to a “mental person in crisis’ near Avalon Road and Hartzog Road.
The report obtained by WESH 2 Investigates said the victim saw a man, later identified as Coman, arguing with someone in the roadway.
“(The victim) honked at the male and that’s when he jumped on top of her gray 2021 Toyota Corolla’s hood and began banging on her front windshield,” the deputy wrote in report. “(The victim) closed her windows as she was in fear of her life while the suspect continued banging on her hood and windshield, causing damage.”
Coman has not been charged with any crimes in connection to that incident, but the report said the victim “wishes to press charges and testify in court.”
