One man died and a woman was injured in a Wednesday, April 8, crash that shut down the Main Street bridge in Downtown Jacksonville during morning rush-hour traffic.
Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office crash investigators said a man in his mid-40s was driving southbound just before the bridge around 7:15 a.m. when he lost control of his car, hitting the right-hand retainer wall before veering into oncoming lanes of traffic.
