PORT ST. LUCIE — A 21-year-old man was arrested on Oct. 25 after he reportedly tried to break into cars on Milner Drive in Port St. Lucie, according to Port St. Lucie Police reports. The area is south of West Midway Road near Fort Pierce and west of Selvitz Road in Port St. Lucie.

Glynne Greenfield of Port St. Lucie is in the St. Lucie County Jail on four burglary charges and three counts of wearing a hood or mask on the street.

Security cameras in the community captured Greenfield scouting for unlocked cars by pulling on multiple door handles in the 5000 block of Milner Drive on Oct. 24 into Oct. 25, according to police reports.

A resident calling 911 was able to provide a detailed description of Greenfield, including a full face covering which responding officers saw him removing as they arrived on scene, according to police reports.

During the investigation, several hundred dollars in cash were recovered and several other victims were identified along the street with cars broken into.

Greenfield is being held at the jail on a $10,600 bond.
