The Lee County Community Band invites Southwest Florida residents and visitors to its final concert of the season, “On the Road Again,” Sunday, April 12, at 3 p.m. at Mariner High School in Cape Coral.
The concert will feature an mix of popular favorites, classic marches, Broadway music, ragtime and audience sing-along tunes.
The program opens with “On the Road Again,” a fitting tribute to snowbirds preparing for their journeys home, followed by “Colorburst Concert March,” “Soul Bossa Nova,” and a featured trumpet solo with band accompaniment performing “MacArthur Park.”
The afternoon continues with classics, including “A Summer Place,” selections from the Broadway hit “Grease,” “New Mexico March,” and “Satchmo,” celebrating the legendary Louis Armstrong.
The Lee County Community Band is composed of volunteer musicians from throughout Southwest Florida who share a love of performing live concert band music for the community.
