Construction continues to progress at the new Lakeshore Lodge Resort coming to Walt Disney World. Our last update showed ongoing work for the lazy river and lakeside cabins.
Lakeshore Lodge Construction Progress

During our April 10 visit, we noticed that room balcony railings were fully installed on several portions of the resort’s buildings.
The balcony railings are made with black, vertical metal bars that are close together. Construction workers were actively working in the area
Other parts of the buildings still have the balcony bases complete and scaffolding up, but no railings yet.
Construction also continues to progress on the other buildings, including the A-frame cabins and entrance porte cochere.
First announced in 2018, the resort was originally going to be called Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, but plans were stalled during the COVID-19 pandemic. Years later, after the resort was thought to be canceled, Disney began filing permits.
The Disney Vacation Club resort was then officially announced in 2024 with a new name, Lakeshore Lodge. The resort will be “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.”
Lakeshore Lodge is set to open in 2027.
