WJXT brings home wins across several categories

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – News4JAX has been named Overall Station of the Year by the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists, earning recognition as the top medium market television news station in the state. The station also took home multiple individual and team awards across several categories.
WJXT News Director Robert Brown said the honor reflects the dedication of everyone in the newsroom.
“WJXT has a legacy of journalistic excellence and service. It is a privilege to carry that standard forward as we continue to evolve and transform our work to meet audiences in evolving spaces. This honor is a testament to the relentless effort of every journalist in our newsroom, all working to help our local communities thrive.”
The station and its reporters also brought home trophies in the following categories: Multi-Media Reporter, Economic Reporting and Cultural/Historical Feature.
In addition to the station’s wins, the News4JAX team was also a finalist in two additional categories including Sports Story and Website.
