One suspect admitted to stabbing two people, but claimed it was self defense after he was punched during an argument, arrest records say.
LARGO, Fla. — A couple is facing charges after a fight turned into a stabbing at a Largo apartment complex, arrest affidavits say.
Largo police said this happened just before 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Waterchase Apartments located on Rosery Road Northeast where three people encountered 39-year-old Anthony Roberts and his girlfriend, 23-year-old Olivia Kaufman.
The affidavit says the group got into an argument with the couple before Roberts stabbed two of them multiple times.
Two people were arrested following a violent disturbance that left multiple victims stabbed at a Largo apartment complex, according to arrest affidavits.
Officers said during this incident, Kaufman showed off a pocketknife and waved it at one of the three people while swinging it and threatening them with it.
Roberts reportedly admitted to authorities to the stabbing, but claimed it was self-defense after he was punched.
Roberts is charged with attempted felony murder. Kaufman is charged with aggravated assault.
