One man was killed and two others injured in a shooting at the Taste of Miami Karnival in Little Haiti Sunday night, according to Miami police.

Police received a report shortly before midnight through the ShotSpotter system of gunshots fired near the main stage of the event in the area of Northeast Second Avenue and 62nd Street, said Officer Kenia Fallat, a department spokeswoman.

Officers found the three men wounded, and Miami Fire Rescue paramedics took them to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where one of them died, Fallat said.

Police don’t have any suspects in custody, and detectives continue to investigate the shooting, Fallat said. Police have not identified the victims.

The area was closed after the shooting, but Fallat said detectives have cleared the crime scene and the area will be open Monday morning once the barricades from the event have been picked up.

This report will be updated as more information becomes available.
