Potential gas leak at Cape Coral High School leads to evacuation

CAPE CORAL, Fla — The Cape Coral Police Department said a potential gas leak has been reported at Cape Coral High School, Tuesday morning.

Police said all students have been evacuated and are in a secure area, as of around 7:55 a.m. The Lee County School District tells us they emailed parents around 7:30 a.m. to alert them.

The Cape Coral Fire Department is on scene investigating.
