TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Tallahassee International Airport and part of College Avenue could get new names, at least, honorarily.
On Tuesday, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed off on a transportation bill full of road designations.
In it, part of College Avenue between FSU’s campus and Monroe will be renamed after former FSU president John Thrasher.

Tallahassee International Airport will now honor legendary Head Coach Bobby Bowden with signage outside the airport.
“I think his players probably were more involved in their community during their professional career, after it, if they didn’t have a professional career, then any coaches, players I can think of in my lifetime. And that is a major, major legacy that Coach Bowden left, and I think that is something we should all be proud of,” DeSantis said.
Right after Tuesday’s press conference, crews started updating road signs along the capital circle to add Bowden’s name.
