April 14, 2026 – The former Boston Market at 9595 4th Street N. in St. Petersburg is being converted into a new location for Cook Out, a North Carolina-based fast-food chain expanding into Florida. The company has been acquiring shuttered Boston Market properties, including the St. Pete site purchased for $2.6 million, though no opening timeline has been announced. Founded in 1989, Cook Out operates more than 300 locations and is known for its chargrilled burgers, customizable trays and wide selection of milkshakes.
