Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill Tuesday to rename State Road 80 in Florida, which runs from Lee County to Palm Beach County, as President Donald J. Trump Highway.Palm Beach Boulevard is the Lee County portion of the nearly coast-to-coast state highway.Residents in Lee County shared differing opinions about the proposed name change on the 125-mile road. “I think there’s enough stuff already named after Donald Trump,” said Mark Williams, a Lee County resident. Patrick Durkin, another resident, said, “Well, I’m a huge Donald Trump fan. But despite that, I like Palm Beach Boulevard. Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill Tuesday to rename State Road 80 in Florida, which runs from Lee County to Palm Beach County, as President Donald J. Trump Highway.
Palm Beach Boulevard is the Lee County portion of the nearly coast-to-coast state highway.
