Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill renaming State Road 80 as President Donald J. Trump Highway and Tallahassee International Airport as Bobby Bowden Tallahassee International Airport, effective July 1.

The bill included renaming several roads and an airport across the state, including renaming Tallahassee International Airport as “Bobby Bowden Tallahassee International Airport.”

Bowden, who died in August 2021 at age 91, was a College Football Hall of Fame head coach at Florida State University in Tallahassee from 1976 through 2009.
