The Village of Key Biscayne and the Key Biscayne Community Center are organizing a bus trip to Miami’s historic Freedom Tower on Friday, April 17.
Participants will visit the landmark, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary and now features immersive multimedia exhibits developed by Miami Dade College. The exhibits highlight the building’s history, including its role as the Miami Daily News headquarters, and later as a reception center for Cuban refugees.
The trip will also include time for lunch and shopping at Bayside Marketplace. The cost is $20 per person. Lunch is not included.
The bus departs at 10 a.m. from the community center.
