Marine units with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office rescued two people in a boat that was taking in water and could not move.
At 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, the HCSO marine unit was called to respond to the disabled boat taking on water in the bay, deputies said. The Marine units were able to locate two people in a boat and then brought them safely back to shore.
In body camera footage released by HCSO, deputies are seen in their boat approaching the disabled boat with both people in it.

“Are you sinking?” a deputy asks. “Yeah,” a man in the boat replies.
The footage shows a man on the disabled boat explaining that the vessel’s battery is dead.
Later, deputies from the marine unit are seen tying rope, and subsequently, the HCSO boat is shown towing the disabled boat to a docking area, where the passengers are finally seen walking off their vessel.
