Questions remain after two young men were found dead inside an apartment in Hialeah this week.

Kevin Ramirez, 18, and Christian Contreras, 20, were set to travel to Colombia on Thursday, but on Tuesday at around 12:30 p.m., they were both found shot to death inside an apartment at the Atlantico at Aquabella off West 35th Way.

“Cris and Kevin were amazing, bro, they were the brothers that I just couldn’t ask for anymore. God just placed them in my life,” Brian Leon said.

Leon was set to travel with them to Colombia. He has since canceled the trip and is now mourning the men, who he considered brothers.

Ramirez and Contreras were both talented and up-and-coming barbers, despite only having started a few years ago.

“Within those three years, (Contreras) became one of the top most successful barbers at his age here in Miami, and Kevin was on the same path as well,” Leon said.

The victims will be honored at a candlelight vigil Thursday evening at their barbershop.

“We need to find the people who did this ASAP, because whoever did this did this for no reason,” Leon said.
