TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Police are searching for information after responding to a deadly shooting Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Tampa Police Department, officers responded just before 3 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the 3700 block of East Powhatan Avenue.
Officers arrived and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound inside a home.
Police said they immediately provided life-saving measures until Tampa Fire Rescue arrived and took the man to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Detectives are working to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting and identify everyone involved.
