A woman recently added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list in alleged connection with a Kansas City homicide is now in custody. KaShawn Nicola Roper, 50, was arrested in Florida on Wednesday afternoon. According to the High Springs Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop around 10:21 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, after receiving information about a person linked to an active federal fugitive investigation.The suspect was taken into custody without incident with assistance from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office. Roper was booked into the jail around that time, online records show. Roper is accused in the Aug. 23, 2020 shooting death of 23-year-old Jazmyn Henrion in Kansas City. She was charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. A federal warrant was issued for her arrest on July 2021.
