Waymo is entering our next major chapter in Florida. After welcoming over 150,000 riders from our initial interest list in Miami and Orlando over the last few months, Waymo is now open to everyone in both cities. Starting today, residents and visitors alike can simply download the Waymo app and hail a fully autonomous ride immediately.

To make cross-city trips even more efficient, we’re also beginning to introduce highway travel to our Miami service. Whether you’re commuting from Coral Gables to Wynwood or heading to Miami Beach, highway driving can allow for faster routes across the city. To be among the first to have access to highways in Miami, let us know directly in the app. You’ll be joining our riders across Phoenix, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, where the Waymo Driver already provides safe, efficient highway trips every day.

Waymo is also officially open to the public in Orlando, bringing our trusted ride-hailing service to the City Beautiful. Our service connects the vibrant energy of Parramore with the heart of the city’s major corridors. Locals heading home to Richmond Heights and Williamsburg or visitors exploring Florida Center and Southwest Orlando can now enjoy a stress-free way to move between the neighborhoods.

Current and future service areas in Miami and Orlando are built on real-world performance, comprehensive testing, and extensive operational preparation specific to each region, from navigating tropical downpours to collaborating with local safety partners to ensure close partnership and communication. The Waymo Driver has been involved in 92% fewer crashes that cause serious or fatal injuries than human drivers in the same conditions, and that standard carries into every mile we drive in Florida.

Our generalizable Driver, powered by Waymo’s demonstrably safe AI, is what allows us to move confidently from one destination to another. Our progress in Miami and Orlando is a testament to our system’s ability to scale, bringing the future of mobility to more people across more places.

Every expansion and progression to open access reflects our belief that the best way to serve a city is to keep earning its trust, ride by ride. We’re proud to deepen our roots in Florida, and we look forward to welcoming more riders.

Ready to ride? Download the Waymo app and experience a new way to move.
