Two people were hurt in a crash on the Palmetto Expressway (State Road 826) in Miami-Dade on Friday morning.

FHP said the vehicle crash with injuries happened in the southbound lanes near Northwest 36th Street.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said the emergency call “came in as a traffic accident involving entrapment.”

Rescue units responded and are working to extricate the patients, officials said. Two people were involved, and one of them is pending transport by air rescue to a trauma center.

Traffic cameras captured several first responders blocking all lanes as they worked the scene. Video also showed an air rescue helicopter landing on the roadway.
