JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 20-year-old Texas man was killed in a motorcycle crash on I-295 in Jacksonville just after midnight Friday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
At 12:24 a.m. Friday, FHP said the man was riding a motorcycle north on I-295 near Main Street when he rear-ended a semi-truck in front of him.
FHP said the man “failed to observe” the semi-truck before his motorcycle hit it. He reportedly died at the scene, while troopers said the driver of the semi-truck, a 51-year-old Jacksonville man, was not injured in the crash.
FHP did not release the identities of the individuals involved.
