ORLANDO, Fla. (WINK)— Ulta Beauty World made its second stop in Orlando, bringing together more than 200 beauty brands from around the world for what organizers call the biggest beauty event of the year.

WINK News reporter Bianca Smith attended the expo, where attendees carried beauty passports and navigated a makeup enthusiast’s dream. The event featured makeup, skincare, haircare, nails, and more from larger-than-life brands.

“It’s very high energy,” one attendee said.

Ulta Beauty says people walked out with thousands of dollars’ worth of items. For Haley Mitchell, that meant bringing unconventional luggage.

“You couldn’t bring a rolling bag, and I didn’t want to go with the suitcases and things and the small bags, so I brought a Christmas tree bag,” Mitchell said.

Mitchell says the hardest part wasn’t carrying the bag—it was securing a ticket. “What was it like trying to get a ticket? Hell, hell. It was hell,” Mitchell said.

According to Ulta Beauty World, three million people tried to buy tickets, but only 3,000 were available. For Jackie Lozano, the limited availability didn’t stop her from traveling a significant distance.

“Where are you from? I’m from Georgia. So did you fly all the way from Georgia for this? No, I actually flew in from Spain,” Lozano said.

Lozano says Ulta Beauty World offered more than just beauty products. “I’m coming from a place where I don’t typically get this kind of stuff,” Lozano said.

The event provided attendees with both a makeup playground and unique opportunities to access products not readily available in their home countries.
