TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — White Castle is expanding in Florida, with plans to build three new locations.
On Friday, the fast-food hamburger chain announced plans to build a new location in St. Augustine at the intersection of International Golf Parkway and St. John’s Parkway.
The new location will feature a 2,764-square-foot restaurant with two drive-thru lanes.

“This commitment marks the next exciting step in our Florida growth,” said White Castle Chief Marketing Officer Jamie T. Richardson. “Our Orlando and Clermont Castles have been embraced with open arms, and we look forward to bringing our beloved sliders to St. Augustine. As one of the fastest-growing areas in Northeast Florida, St. Johns County is a great fit for our fun-loving, customer-centric brand, and we’re excited to become part of this vibrant community.”

The St. Augustine location will be the fifth free-standing White Castle in Florida and the first in Northeast Florida.
White Castle previously announced plans to build locations in Kissimmee and Daytona Beach. Those locations are scheduled to open before the St. Augustine location.
White Castle currently has locations in Clermont and Orlando. The Orlando location is the largest White Castle in the world.
