The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a person of interest after a man was shot and killed during a dog attack.The person of interest was identified as 43-year-old Matthew Lee Pasco, according to LCSO.Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Pasco on a charge of premeditated first-degree murder.Deputies said Pasco is believed to have been trying to shoot a dog that was attacking a woman, identified as Alexis Perchoux, but instead hit the owner.It happened in the area of Griffin Road and Tally Box Road in Leesburg.The owner of the dog was transported to a hospital with injuries, where he later died, according to LCSO. The woman who was attacked by the dog was taken to the hospital with dog bites and is being treated.Deputies are now searching for Pasco, who fled the scene on foot, and he is believed to be armed with a handgun.He was described as a man with brown hair and brown eyes. He stands about 5’11” and weighs approximately 150 lbs. Deputies also said he has a prominent scar on the right side of his face.He was last seen wearing a navy blue T-shirt.Deputies are asking anyone who comes into contact with him not to approach him.
