The Florida Department of Transportation District One is conducting a study to address traffic demand and enhance safety on US-41 at Six Mile Cypress Parkway in Lee County.

The study aims to enhance roadway design for drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians, considering both at-grade and grade-separated options.

The FDOT is considering three alternative options: a bypass for Old Gladiolus Drive, a US-41 overpass for both northbound and southbound traffic, and a crossover for northbound left-turn lanes on US-41.

The FDOT will host a public meeting about this on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lake Regional Library in Fort Myers. An online option will be available on Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m.
