A crash overnight near Walt Disney World killed one and seriously injured six others, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. At 3:30 a.m., a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling westbound on Interstate 4 when its right rear tire blew out. This caused the Chevy to overturn multiple times, ejecting a 17-year-old passenger into the center lane of I-4 eastbound. Subsequently, a man driving a 2017 Lexus CT was traveling on eastbound I-4 when he struck the ejected passenger, killing him, FHP says.According to FHP, the driver of the Trailblazer, as well as six other passengers, were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, while the ejected passenger was transported to Osceola Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. It is unknown if the occupants of the Trailblazer were wearing seatbelts. According to a report by FHP.The driver and passenger of the Lexus stayed on scene and were not transported.This crash remains under investigation. Subsequently, a man driving a 2017 Lexus CT was traveling on eastbound I-4 when he struck the ejected passenger, killing him, FHP says.
According to FHP, the driver of the Trailblazer, as well as six other passengers, were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, while the ejected passenger was transported to Osceola Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
