The Ocoee Police Department took to social media its reaccreditation from the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation.

OPD met the required standards to become reaccredited.

The agency was commended for its diligence, professionalism and commitment to maintaining the highest standards in law enforcement and the accreditation will be in effect for three years.

“Only about 6% of law enforcement agencies in the U.S. are accredited,” OPD posted. “In Florida, just 157 agencies hold this distinguished status.”

The CFLEA congratulated OPD for a job well done and said it looks forward to working with the agency in its pursuit to excellence.

“We’re grateful to our dedicated officers, professional staff and to the citizens of Ocoee for your trust and continued support,” OPD posted on Facebook.
