Food trucks representing Tampa Bay area codes will face off and compete for the votes of attendees at the 727, 813, and 941 Food Truck Wars.
Organizers with Food Truck Wars announced Tuesday that the event will take place Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3 at the Win! Derby in St. Pete.
The event will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 8 p.m. on both days. Admission are $5 per person.
“This event is all about celebrating local food culture and bringing the community together through great food, music, and fun,” event organizers said. “Whether you’re loyal to the 727 or rooting for the 813 or 941, there’s something for everyone.”
The culinary showdown will bring together some of the most popular food trucks in the region, representing the area codes.
Attendees will be able to try the food with its wide variety of flavors, vote and choose their favorite food trucks in a “friendly, but fierce, competition.” Some of the food trucks will have savory street eats and others decadent desserts, organizers added.
The Food Truck Wars event will also serve as a fundraiser for Saturday Shoppes, which aims to support local small businesses and community initiatives in Central Florida.
Beyond food, the event will also host live music and entertainment, VIP seating inside Win! Derby, full-service bars, a family-friendly atmosphere and free parking on-site, organizers said.
“Bring your appetite, your friends, and your area code pride for a weekend packed with flavor, fun, and community impact,” organizers stated.
