• I’m frustrated with overdevelopment. We don’t need thousands of new homes and roads on Deseret Ranch, Split Oak and other rural areas. Floridians like undeveloped pastures, scrub pine and conservation lands. They are necessary for our health and the health of wild animals. Instead, fix up dilapidated malls and buildings for new housing options.
• What is it with canceling rides at the last minute? Now that doctors are using Uber Health, it’s even worse. How can somebody be minutes from your residence and cancel? And please stop with the cologne and sprays. If you don’t like people in your vehicle, don’t drive. To those with big SUVs: How do you expect the elderly to climb up in there? Uber needs to rethink its business plan.
• I agree with the person who wrote about the NBA game prices and only showing games on Amazon Prime. We subscribe to NBA League Pass and still can’t watch games because Prime takes over.
• What is it with this generation of mothers leaving dirty diapers in public places? I’ve encountered three in the past month: One on a playground bench near a trash can, one actually on a diaper changing pad at Hobby Lobby and one on a bus station bench in downtown Orlando! Don’t you have a diaper bag you can put it in until you find a place to dump it, or are you just lazy or forgetful?
The flip side
• Kudos to the brilliant mind that designed the hands-free, slip-on shoes. It is a lifesaver for bad backs and big bellies.
