ORLANDO, Fla. – As you make your way out the door this Thursday morning, temperatures will be a bit on the cool side once again.
Plan for the 50s and 60s this morning, so a light jacket or sweatshirt might be needed. We’ll rebound nicely this afternoon, so you definitely won’t need the outer layer!
Temperatures will be comfortable as highs reach the upper 70s and low 80s. This still keeps us a few degrees below our average high in Orlando of 85°.
Skies will feature a mix of sunshine and clouds. An onshore easterly wind will exist, which could give way to a few very isolated and light showers along the coast. Only a 10% chance of these showers is forecast.
Skies remain partly cloudy overnight. Temperatures will be cool in some spots as Friday morning’s lows fall into the 50s and 60s.
For the weekend, temperatures will begin to heat up with highs in the upper 80s to near 90°.
A few very isolated and spotty showers will be possible for the weekend as well, as an almost summer-like set up takes hold. An east and west coast sea-breeze collision will help to spark a few much-needed showers.
That being said, moisture and humidity levels are still quite low, so these showers will be very isolated and not nearly enough to help with the drought and wildfire situation.
Next week, Mother Nature really cranks up the heat as highs break into the low 90s.
The dry pattern looks to persist as well, with the long-term pattern suggesting little to no rain through the end of the month. Stay tuned.
