The Grand Central District Association plans a Dos de Mayo street festival on Saturday, May 2. It runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on 23rd Street between 1st Avenue South and Central Avenue. This free gathering will feature Latin food trucks and a live Latin band, plus a market with local vendors and activities from nearby bars and restaurants.
Anyone can come. But you must be 21 or older to drink alcohol.
Right Around the Corner, Par Bar, Dog Bar, and Grand Central Brewhouse will participate. These spots will offer deals and indoor seating for those wanting a break from the outdoor action.
According to I Love the Burg, the schedule allows people to celebrate before Cinco de Mayo, which lands on a Tuesday this year. A weekend date sidesteps a weeknight party.
This gathering is one of several Cinco de Mayo events planned across Tampa Bay. Organizers hope to draw the community together for food, music, and shopping in the heart of Grand Central.
No tickets or registration are needed. The street will close for the two-hour block party.
