The FAA said a Maule M-7 veered off the runway and flipped over after landing.

TAMPA, Fla. — A plane flipped over at Peter O. Knight Airport in Tampa on Thursday afternoon. 

It happened around 3:30 p.m. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), two people were on board when the Maule M-7 veered off the runway and flipped over after landing. 

A spokesperson for Tampa Fire Rescue told 10 Tampa Bay News the pilot was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is listed as “stable.” The other person was not hurt. 

No further details were provided.

The FAA said it will investigate.
