The St. Pete Beach Public Library has set its schedule of upcoming events.
• Monday, April 27, 11 a.m. — Tech help walk-in: Get help with technology basics for phones, computers, and library-related applications. Monday tech help is on a walk-in only basis.
• Tuesdays, 10 a.m. — Story Time: This lively story time is perfect for children ages 5 and under and their caregivers. Explore stories, songs and movement that build early literacy skills and support motor development.
• Monday, April 27, 4 p.m. — Story Time Adventures: This program is for Story Time children who are ready for longer stories and a craft. (Ages 4+).
• Wednesday, April 29, 11 a.m. — Memory Table: Sharing the Stories Behind Our Keepsakes. A friendly roundtable gathering where adults are invited to share a meaningful item and the story behind it.
• Friday, May 1, noon — Hurricane Helene is History presented by USF St. Pete Honors College: USF St. Pete Honors students are documenting the impact of Hurricane Helene on our community. They’ve been focusing on the loss of historic structures. In this presentation, students will share the virtual exhibits, 3D captures, and oral histories they have collected, and discuss why it matters.
• Saturday, May 2, 2-4 p.m. — Tech Help: We offer help with technology basics for phones, computers, and library-related applications. (No repairs). Please note, because this program will be occurring after regular library hours, all other library services will be suspended during this time.
Beaches Chamber to dispense small business funds
ST. PETE BEACH — The Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce has been selected as a participating chamber in the Glazer Family Small Business Fund, helping distribute critical grant funding to small businesses across Tampa Bay and West Central Florida.
“We’re incredibly grateful to be selected as a partner in this initiative and to play a role in getting these funds directly into the hands of local businesses,” said Charlie Justice, president and CEO of Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber. “Our small business community is the backbone of our beaches, and this program provides meaningful support when it’s needed most. We also want to sincerely thank the Glazer Family for their continued investment in and commitment to the success of our local business community.”
Established in 2024 following hurricanes Helene and Milton, the Glazer Family Small Business Fund has already provided nearly 200 local businesses with over $1 million in grant funding. The program has committed more than $2 million to help businesses recover, rebuild, and move forward.
The program is administered in partnership with a select group of regional chambers of commerce, including the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber.

Gulf Beaches Library announces activities
MADEIRA BEACH – The Gulf Beaches Public Library has scheduled a number of upcoming events:
• Writers Group: Mondays, 10 a.m.-noon
•Library App Help: Wednesdays, 2-3 p.m. For help with Libby, Kanopy, and Hoopla.
• Mahjong: Thursdays, 11 a.m. Old and new members welcome.
• Investment Club: Thursdays, 2:30-4 p.m.
• Meditation: Fridays, 11 a.m.-noon. Relax and rejuvenate at the end of the week.
• Scrabble: Fridays, 1-4 p.m.
• Storytime: Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Ages 2 and under; Fridays at 10:30 a.m. Ages 2-4.
The library is currently taking gently used donations of books; no textbooks, please.
