ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — Douglas L. Jamerson Elementary School staged a giant cereal domino run on Thursday to support children facing food insecurity.

The school kicked off its engineering exposition, featuring a giant cereal domino run built with around 1,500 cereal boxes.

Students cheered as each cereal box fell, creating a successful domino run as boxes cascaded down two floors and throughout the school.

All of the cereal boxes will be donated to The Kind Mouse in St. Petersburg to support children facing food insecurity.

The Kind Mouse is a non-profit organization and is comprised of volunteers ranging in age from 5 to 93.

The exposition helped demonstrate the concepts of force, gravity and chain reactions to students.
